Located in the pine woods of east Texas we are known
for our fishing, bird watching, boating and great folks. We’re a
small community with a group of members we are very proud to call

resort community is a destination for many who seek to escape to
a quieter and gentler place and time. A variety of year round

Kids Fish
Day 2009 |

The first week-end in
June and this year Hurricane Creek Park was the perfect place to
host the 10th Annual "Kids Fish Day" hosted by the Pine
Cone Fishing Club. Almost 300 kids got free fishing gear and a
chance to win trophies and money. Everyone got free hot dogs not to
mention wonderful family fun. The event even made television. To see

"Top's" Market

Something we have
really needed here on the north shore of the lake is a place to
buy grocery items. Until recently folks had to drive into the
nearest town of Jefferson, TX 14 miles away in order to buy
things they needed. Now with the opening of the Tops
Market this saves folks that inconvenience. They offer top of
the line meats for grilling, produce, propane, beer, ice and all
the normal grocery items a person would need for their stay on
the lake as well as bait and some marine supplies.

Yellow Rose Marine Opens |

We are proud to
welcome Yellow Rose Marine to the businesses here on the north
shore of the lake. They repair inboard, outboard motors as well
as jet-skis. Not to mention they also sell some great items such
as scooters, utility vehicles and more. Be sure to stop by and
say howdy and check their selection. |

Crestwood Chevron
Gets
New Owners |

The new owners of
the Chevron station are really fixing it up and have even built
a small grill where you can get one of Raye's famous hamburgers
and some of the best fried chicken in these parts. They also
carry a few grocery items for you fisherman. |
